So it might just be forever since either the moll doll or I have posted anything here BUT I have an announcement.

I’ve become a vegetarian. I’m not sure why. I just have. And it’s nice. I like it. And so do my carrot that won’t be lonely anymore.

FANCY ASS “BACON” LETTUCE TOMATO SANDWICH

INGREDIENTS:
bread (i went with sourdough) 
lettuce (i went with a mixed greens that was on sale)
extra firm tofu
hass avocados 
tomatoes “on the vine”
red onion 
olive oil
nutritional yeast
“hickory” liquid smoke

DIRECTIONS:
24 hours before you decide you want a BLT, take out your tofu and liquid smoke. slice the tofu into as thin of pieces as you can get while still keeping the shape, generally i go with an eighth of an inch. lightly dab the tofu with some paper towel to remove moisture. place the strips in a single layer of a lidded container and generously cover with liquid smoke. cover that up and throw it in the fridge to marinate for a day or so.

when you’re ready to cook thinly slice some avocado, tomato, onion or whatever else you want on your sandwich while you heat a frying pan over high heat. add a little olive oil to your pan and when the oil starts to ripple throw in your marinated tofu. you want the tofu to be drained of all liquids and develop a golden brown crust, while cooking sprinkle with nutritional yeast. the tofu should look crisp and crusty.

toast your bread and build your sandwich, you can throw earth balance and veganaise on there if you please, i prefer it without but hey, do what you want.

SERVING SUGGESTION:

i made a quick hash with green peppers and onion for a side, had a cup of dark roast with vanilla almond milk and raw sugar, and a big ol mason jar of grapefruit juice 

Delish. A much more healthy and wonderful alternative to that silly thing we call bacon.

Chamomile and some leftover raspberries. Beside is tomorrow’s grocery list. Strawberries and handmade truffles are in the future. 

Strawberries are in season right now so buy them. Or pick them. Or jam them. Or something :D

Nutritional stuffs:
Chamomile has been used for ages in a variety of herbal medicines. It helps with digestion so it’s definitely a plus after a meal. Raspberries were used as a natural sweetener and are naturally high in antioxidants as most berries are as well as a nice healthy splash of vitamin c and potassium.

Simple Vinaigrette Recipe:

3 parts of oil 

1 part vinegar
